High School Musical Three

Thought I would post this back from August. It is appropriate now that High School Musical 3 is coming out this weekend. When we were at the Wi. State Fair in August My neighbor and her daughter and Kirsti and I went to the Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu concert. It was so much fun. It was the girls first concert. Kirsti was dancing and singing and of course screaming the whole time. She loved it and I will say it was awesome to watch her enjoy this. I did feel really old though. It was all real young kids and their parents.
So of course the pressure is on to see High School Musical 3 this weekend. I feel like it is going shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Where is it playing, how early do we have to get there. What kid are we going to have to push over to get through. kidding. Kirsti is so excited about going, I hope we can do it.
Here are some pictures of our experience of the concert....

It has been awhile

I know it has been awhile since I put anything on here. So I will update you next. I have been busy with the kids going back to school and getting a job and juggling the house stuff. Things are starting to get a little bit easier but I know as the holidays approach it will get even crazier. We will see how long I keep up.

The Fair of all Fairs.

The Wisconsin State Fair is probably the biggest fair of the summer. When Kurt and I were dating so many years ago, he introduced me to this fair. It is so much fun. You eat and walk all day. By the end of the day your feet are killing you and your stomach is saying why did you eat all that, plus you have just shelled out about $200.00. I will say though for as much as you eat you do not gain any weight because you are constantly on the move. There are all the farm animals to see. Cows, horses, pigs, rabbits, etc....They also have entertainment. There are main line concerts. Kirsti and I are going to the Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Blue concert. For those of you who do not know them they are from High School musical. Then of course you have the fair rides and games. This year we went with just the four of us. It was a really great time. It is a great family event. Oh and you can't forget the cream puffs. This is what the fair is known for. They are amazing. Kirsti and Kurtis had their first ones this year. All I will say is unbelievable. we got there early enough and did not have to wait in line. There have been lines where you are waiting for almost an hour. They were yummy.

fishing at grandma's

The kids went fishing with their cousins at Grandma's house a few weeks back. They caught quite a few and the dogs were even getting in on it. Especially Otis he almost fell in the water. Everyone touched the worms and fish but Kurtis would have none of that. Pretty strange how all girls did it but not a boy. Silly Kurtis!!!

Our new addition

Kirsti would like everyone to meet Hersey. He is Kirsti's new pride and joy. She has been working very hard for the past couple of weeks on getting allowance. She has been doing extra chores also to save enough money to get a guinea pig. To make a long story short on how this all came about, she watched a Disney show about a monkey that a little girl stumbles upon and he is funny and does all kinds of tricks. Well she wanted a monkey. I told her they cost at least a $1000.00. She said she would save her money and get one. I said ok knowing what little girl could do that and not get interested in something else before she reached that kind of money. Plus we told her they are dirty and like to fling poo. As a little time went on she decided she wanted a guinea pig and new it was much cheaper. We said ok but she had to buy it on her own and show responsibility and do research. Hoping this would buy us a little time. Well our mistake was we went to a pet store to do some research and they had a pig in there that was 1yr old and had all his accessories. He was less than half the price of a baby with accessories. She held him and the rest is history. He is very sweet and she is doing very well with him. She is also learning about oweing money. She paid for about 1/2 and now is working off the rest.

Gymnastic Meet

Kirsti took a summer gymnastic course for 6 wks. At the end they did a little competition. On beam she recieved a 5th out of 20 kids. Anyone that knows Kirsti knows how competitive she is. She always strives to be the best. If she is given a challenge, she will keep doing it until she masters it. I love the drive in her.

Yesterday the kids and I had the dogs in a pet parade at the local library. It was silly but fun. Kirsti took care of Romeo and Kurtis took care of Otis. Each child had to bring the dog in front of the judges and and tell them a little bit about them. Romeo won the sweetest face. Otis won shortest tail. The dogs were very well behaved. Of course they had to do the traditional butt smelling.

Randi made me do it!!!!

I finally have joined the blogger world thanks to Randi's constant nagging. So now I have one more thing on my list that I will have to keep up on. She first got me into scrap booking, so all the pictures from way back when are now being put in albums. That is a good thing and I enjoy doing it. Although it is hard to find the time. I am sure this will be fun too!!!! I know Randi will make sure I keep up on it. She is a great person and keeps my creative side going. Love you Randi thanks.....
